The School of Foreign Languages adheres to the discipline construction principle of “remaining integrated with the mainstream and striving to be distinctive”. By identifying the objectives of discipline construction, charting the course of discipline development, enhancing its integrated development with other dominant disciplines of our university, and exploring the growth opportunities of new disciplines, a series of competitive disciplines have been in place, including English linguistics, English literature, translation studies, foreign languages education, comparative study of languages and culture, Russian(geology and minerals), as well as English + business administration and other disciplines echoing the characteristics of our university. Moreover, within our school, academic teams at university level and school level have been constructed and cultivated.
